Vanillery Tours

Tours are avail­able by appoint­ment only.

If you hap­pen to be vis­it­ing Kauai (or maybe you live here), you can arrange to tour the vanillery! Tours are $50 per family/group (kama aina dis­count avail­able) and it’s typ­i­cal­ly a quick 45-minute tour through the phas­es of grow­ing, har­vest­ing, and cur­ing the beans. We also offer vanil­la prod­ucts for sale. Maximum group size is 6, thank you.

We are cur­rent­ly book­ing tours on Fridays from 11am to 4pm. Please con­tact us to make an appointment.

The vanillery is on our 2 1/3 acre home­stead, sit­u­at­ed in a qui­et neigh­bor­hood near Kapaa. We show you around a lit­tle so you can see how we grow and make our vanil­la. We are also home­stead­ers that grow a wide vari­ety of food and med­i­c­i­nal plants using nat­ur­al meth­ods, so any­one who is inter­est­ed in these things can get an extend­ed walk-and-talk around our place. It’s a fas­ci­nat­ing look at how we live a healthy, rich, and par­tial­ly self-suf­fi­cient life in Hawaii.
